भड़काऊ भाषणों से विपक्ष चिंतित, प्रधानमंत्री की चुप्पी पर जताई हैरानी

लोगों से शांति और सद्भाव बनाए रखने की संयुक्त अपील!

और सांप्रदायिक हिंसा फैलाने वाले अपराधियों  को कड़ी सजा की मांग!

हम, राजनीतिक दलों के अधोहस्ताक्षरी नेता, इस अपील को जारी करने के लिए एक साथ आए हैं।

जिस तरह से हमारे समाज का ध्रुवीकरण करने के लिए सत्तारूढ़ पक्ष के वर्गों द्वारा जानबूझकर भोजन, पोशाक, आस्था, त्यौहार और भाषा से संबंधित मुद्दों का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है, उससे हम अत्यंत व्यथित हैं।

हम देश में ऐसे लोगों द्वारा वैमनस्य फैलाने वाली भड़काऊ भाषा के प्रयोग की बढ़ती घटनाओं से बेहद चिंतित हैं, जिन्हें आधिकारिक संरक्षण प्राप्त है और जिनके विरूद्ध कोई सार्थक और कड़ी कार्रवाई नहीं की जा रही है।

हम देश के कई राज्यों में हाल ही में हुई सांप्रदायिक हिंसा की कड़ी निंदा करते हैं। हमें गहन चिंता है क्योंकि, प्राप्त सूचनाओं से ये संकेत मिलता है कि जिन क्षेत्रों में ऐसी घटनाएं हुई हैं, वहां इसके लिए एक भयावह तरीका अपनाया गया है। सांप्रदायिक हिंसा फैलाने वालों द्वारा आक्रामक, सशस्त्र धार्मिक जुलूस निकालने से पहले भड़काऊ भाषण दिए गए।

जिस तरह से सोशल मीडिया और श्रव्य-दृश्य माध्यमों का आधिकारिक संरक्षण के साथ नफरत और पूर्वाग्रह फैलाने के लिए दुरुपयोग किया जा रहा है, उससे हम बेहद दुखी हैं।

हम इस संबंध में प्रधान मंत्री की चुप्पी पर हैरान हैं, जो कट्टरता फैलाने वाले ऐसे तत्वों के शब्दों और कृत्यों के विरूद्ध बोलने में विफल रहे हैं और जो लोग अपने शब्दों और कृत्यों से हमारे समाज को उकसाते और भड़काते हैं। यह चुप्पी इस बात का साक्षात प्रमाण है कि इस तरह की ‘निजी सशस्त्र भीड़’ को आधिकारिक संरक्षण प्राप्त हो गया है।

सदियों से भारत को परिभाषित और समृद्ध बनाने वाले सामाजिक सद्भाव के बंधन को मजबूत करने के लिए मिलकर काम करने के अपने सामूहिक संकल्प को हम दोहराते हैं।

हम उन जहरीली विचारधाराओं का सामना करने और उनके विरूद्ध संघर्ष करने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराते हैं, जो हमारे समाज में विभाजन की जड़ें फैलाने का प्रयास कर रही हैं।

हम इस संबंध में अपने दृढ़ विश्वास को दोहराते हैं कि हमारा देश तभी समृद्ध होगा, जब वह अपनी विविधताओं का पूर्ण सम्मान, समायोजन सहित उत्सव मना पाएगा ।

हम लोगों के सभी वर्गों से शांति बनाए रखने और सांप्रदायिक ध्रुवीकरण को फैलाने की इच्छा रखने वालों के भयावह उद्देश्यों को विफल करने की अपील करते हैं। हम देश भर में अपनी सभी पार्टी इकाइयों से शांति और सद्भाव बनाए रखने के लिए स्वतंत्र रूप से और संयुक्त रूप से कार्य करने का आह्वान करते हैं।

JOINT APPEAL TO PEOPLE TO MAINTAIN PEACE AND HARMONY

 

AND DEMAND STRINGENT PUNISHMENT FOR PERPETRATORS OF COMMUNAL VIOLENCE

 

 

 

We, the undersigned leaders of political parties, have come together to issue this appeal.

 

 

 

We are extremely anguished at the manner in which issues related to food, dress, faith, festivals and language are being deliberately used by sections of the ruling establishment to polarize our society.

 

 

 

We are extremely concerned with the growing incidents of hate speech in the country by people, who appear to have official patronage and against whom no meaningful and strong action is being taken.

 

 

 

We strongly condemn the recent outburst of communal violence witnessed across several states in the country. We are deeply concerned, as reports indicate that there is a sinister pattern in the areas where these incidents have occurred. Incendiary hate speeches preceded the aggressive armed religious processions unleashing communal violence.

 

 

 

We are extremely pained at the manner in which social media and the audio-visual platforms are being misused with official patronage to spread hatred and prejudice.

 

 

 

We are shocked at the silence of the Prime Minister, who has failed to speak against the words and actions of those who propagate bigotry and those who, by their words and actions, incite and provoke our society. This silence is an eloquent testimony to the fact that such private armed mobs enjoy the luxury of official patronage.

 

 

 

We reiterate our collective resolve to work together to strengthen the bonds of social harmony that have defined and enriched India for centuries.

 

 

 

We reiterate our commitment to combat and confront the poisonous ideologies which are attempting to entrench divisiveness in our society.

 

 

 

We reiterate our firm conviction that our country will prosper only if it respects, accommodates and celebrates its many diversities in full measure.

 

 

 

We appeal to all sections of the people to maintain peace and foil the sinister objective of those who wish to sharpen communal polarisation. We call upon all our party units across the country to independently and jointly work for maintaining peace and harmony.
